I entered the airport while cramming a sugar cookie in my mouth and trying to pull up the handle to my suitcase. The handle always sticks and it's really annoying. I found the list of departures only to find that my flight was delayed twenty minutes.
I'm now cozied up at the mini Chili's facing my gate to make sure I don't miss anything.
I get so paranoid in airports. When I was living in London, I went to Gatwick to catch my flight to Detroit. I got there early and once the kiosk opened to check in was told I was supposed to leave out of Heathrow. The whole morning before I'd left the school my roommate kept asking me if I was sure I was supposed to go to Gatwick. Each time I assured her I was supposed to leave out of Gatwick. Boy was I wrong! Thankfully, there was a flight flying to Minneapolis from where I hopped on a plane to Detroit. Somehow I only ended up being an hour or two later than I was originally scheduled, too.
In other, more blog-relevant news, the students at the University of Pennsylvania have planned a grad. student happy hour. This should be supremely fun and silly! Can't wait!
